"Antonio? Oh, my brother is such an adventurer," Ann says with a bright smile. "His life feels like an endless story full of adventures. He told me about the time he spent a week in the Australian outback with Indigenous people, learning their painting techniques and capturing landscapes that look almost otherworldly. Or how he joined the Holi festival in India and ended up covered in colors, including his sketchbook!"
She chuckles. "In South Africa, he went on a safari and tried to sketch elephants in their natural habitat. Apparently, he had to pack up quickly when one curious elephant decided to take a closer look at what he was drawing! And in Norway, he spent a night in an igloo painting the northern lights, which he said looked like dancing lights across the sky."
Pausing for a moment, she adds, "Once in Brazil, he nearly got lost in the Amazon rainforest because he was so absorbed in sketching exotic birds that he completely lost track of time. And in Egypt? He snuck into one of the less-visited pyramids with a local guide just to sketch the mysterious hieroglyphs that fascinated him."
"What I love most," Ann continues, "is how he always finds ways to make his stories unforgettable. In Canada, he went on a multi-day trek to paint the frozen lakes and ended up around a campfire with travelers from all over the world. In Peru, he climbed Machu Picchu to capture the morning mist over the ancient ruins. And in Italy? He rented an old village cottage and painted olive groves at sunset."
